The Kid LAROI pays tribute to Drake with “Shot For Me” cover

Australian singer/rapper The Kid LAROI has been on a tear in the last calendar year. With a wildly successful debut album and several Billboard top hits already to his name, LAROI has already established himself as one of tomorrow’s brightest hip-hop stars.

Most recently, LAROI paid homage to Drake with the latest edition of “Spotify Singles” - a series of song covers by other artists. LAROI elected to cover Drake’s Take Care ballad “Shot For Me.”

Considering that the original song is fantastic, it was a bold move by LAROI to try and take it on. The track is very raw, heavy and emotional - to try and emulate the same sentiments as the original artist is no easy task, but LAROI does it justice. One of LAROI’s best qualities is his ability to pour emotion into his music, and that trait is on full display on this song.
