This new single is such an exciting collaboration for fans of female powerhouses Billie Eilish and Rosalía, and even more exciting for fans of Euphoria, like myself.

“Lo Vas Olvidar” is a stripped back ballad, filled with slow, heavy synths and subdued, rich harmonies. It’s certainly a pivot from the energetic singles both artists have put out in the last year, but I’m here for it.

Listen to the track with headphones on, and it feels like you’re floating, surrounded by a hushed ambience and carried along by the melancholy lyrics.

Barcelona-born Rosalía gently sings about love gone wrong, “El amor no puede medirse en un paso firme” (“Love cannot be measured steadily,”) “un día soy un dios y al otro puedo partirme,” (“one day I’m a god and the next I can break.”)

The sentiment of the song is begging the question, Can you forget it? Can you let it go?

There are a few English lyrics sprinkled in there, but the majority of the heartbreak track is in Spanish, including Billie Eilish’s verses.

Billie confessed that she doesn’t actually speak or understand Spanish, and that Rosalía coached her through their sessions. She did, however, write the song and like all of her other work, her brother Finneas produced it.

“Lo Vas a Olvidar” finishes off with a particular hard-hitting line from Billie: “If I wasn't important, then why would you waste all of your poison.” Damn.

The heightened emotion and references to toxic relationships pair all-too-well with the HBO series Euphoria. And I’m not surprised – the soundtrack from the series absolutely slaps.

The track was featured in the latest special episode, Part 2: Jules.

For the entire duration of the episode, we see Jules in a therapy session, digging deep into her past, the current tribulations she is facing and the secrets she's been hiding from Rue. It’s her side of the story, answering the questions we’ve all had to sit with since the end of season one.

This, of course, follows Part 1: Rue. The first special episode features Rue meeting with her sponsor in a diner.

I must say while I appreciated the latest episode, this one with Rue was a true insightful masterpiece. I highly recommend watching if you haven't yet; you’re guaranteed to take something meaningful away from it.

I’m looking forward to the next season of Euphoria, and future collaborations between Rosalía and Billie Eilish.
