Remi Wolf - “Liz”

If you have yet to hop on the Remi Wolf train, her new single “Liz” will definitely do the trick. 

California native Remi Wolf has unmatchable energy, both in her music and her lively personality on social media. Her music is authentic and she has a stunning voice, which comes through beautifully on “Liz.” If you don’t believe me, check out her BTS of “Liz” on Instagram (@remiwolf); I promise you will want to befriend her. 

As a tribute to her “Remjobs” that have stuck by her since her 2019 self-released EP, You’re A Dog!, Remi released the studio version of her single “Liz.” Before the drop last week, “Liz” was an exclusive track that she only shared at her live sets. 

Remi wrote “Liz” a couple of years ago during a trip to San Diego. In an Apple Music interview, Remi explains how infatuated and humored she was by her friends jamming out on guitar and screaming “LIZ,” the name of one of her friends on the trip. 

Along with the release on streaming platforms, Remi shared a live take on “Liz” with Solomonophonic on guitar. Although Remi likes to be genre-less because “all music today is soup,” the funky soul in her voice is badass.

This single brings out a different, more mellow side of Remi’s music. In the writing process, Remi found happiness and freedom in this song and hopes whoever is listening does, too.

Her work today is a big slap in the face to the American Idol judges of season 13 who voted 17-year-old Remi off.
