The Kid LAROI ‘F*CK LOVE (SAVAGE)’
Ever since the rise of SoundCloud, millions of young artists, particularly teenagers, have been showcasing their talent (sometimes “talent” isn’t the right word) in hopes of getting recognized.
We know a lot of them: Lil Pump, XXXTentacion, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti and many others, all American. However, in recent times, we’ve had a kid from Australia who’s tearing up the world stage: The Kid LAROI.
LAROI comes from the land down under at a fresh 17 years of age. After releasing tracks like “Diva” ft. Lil Tecca last year and dropping his debut album F*CK LOVE, LAROI has been making his presence in music known; this time, it’s through his deluxe album version F*CK LOVE (SAVAGE).
These seven new tracks feature some grimey, emotional rap addressing LAROI’s girl and life problems. His past music exhibits these same traits, but not like this; you can truly feel the raw emotion and energy placed into every lyric in songs like “TRAGIC” and “ALWAYS DO.” This project contains some serious Juice Wrld energy, who was one of LAROI’s mentors during his rise to fame.
In “FEEL SOMETHING” ft. Marshmello, LAROI talks about the pain and hatred he feels towards himself cause of the decisions he’s made and the people he’s let into his life. He’s so desensitized to the fame, he says, that he doesn’t know what to do to just feel something; this is definitely something that most, if not all, celebrities and artists can relate to.
LAROI also brings Machine Gun Kelly into the equation in “FUCK YOU, GOODBYE” to vent those complicated girl problems. Both artists accurately depict the aftermath of getting used and hurt by a girl, and how hard it is to get over that person even if it’s for the best.
I believe this is one of the best music projects to come out this year. Give it a listen and let us know if you feel the same.
