BabyJake - “Do I Fit In Your Shoes”
Florida born singer/songwriter Jake Herring, aka BabyJake, has released his new single “Do I Fit In Your Shoes.”
BabyJake is an artist that dips into many genres, ranging all the way from rap to rock. After his debut back in 2016, Jake has released an album Don’t give me problems, give me wine and several other singles.
This was my first time hearing of this up and coming artist and I honestly questioned why I have never heard of this man before.
“Do I Fit In Your Shoes” embraces old school cell phone ringtones, handclaps and a gospel choir to create a beautifully crafted, diverse melody. Jake’s funky mix of tones creates a distinct beat that I could listen to for hours.
The 2-minute song discusses fitting in with a crowd despite having unique characteristics.
The curly-haired singer released an eccentric music video that signifies stepping over the wealthy, as he is shown watching a group of plump people dressed in suits engage in a huge feast that he is not allowed to consume. He then proceeds to stand on their table, crushing their food and forcing them to over-eat.
“I started writing this song over a year ago when I was going through a hard time. I felt misunderstood as an artist by a lot of the people around me, including my label. I was 19 when I wrote my first hit... people just expected that same shit from me over and over. I’ve grown up and evolved a lot as a person since then, and so has my music.”
BabyJake has also hinted at new music set to release soon. I highly suggest you check him out down below.
