Petit Biscuit releases “Parachute” remix album

On October 30 of last year, French electronica producer/DJ Petit Biscuit released his second album Parachute. And alas, here we are five months later getting blessed with a whole new twist on the project.

Petit Biscuit has pulled talent from all over the electronic landscape, tapping artists Malaa, Big Gigantic, Jai Wolf, Japanese Wallpaper and more to breathe new life into his work. Let’s discuss some of our favorites:

Fellow french producer Malaa gives his take on “Pick Your Battles” featuring Diplo, turning it into a full fledged warehouse rave banger.

Futurebass/chillwave artist Manila Killa offers a rendition of “Take Cover,” taking the focus less on the lyrical content and more on the synth-heavy soundscape.

Additionally, French producer Tony Romera took a stab at lead single “Parachute,” spinning what was already an amazing track into something truly special and unique (and my personal favorite on the project).

"I've been listening to Tony Romera's stuff for a long time and to be honest, I just didn't dare to ask him for a remix before. I thought Parachute was the right time. I love how his remix sounds, bringing French touch back with freshness and modernity,” said Petit Biscuit.

He went on to speak on the project at large."Every remix is different from one another, just to show you how rich the electronic music scene is."

This reigns very true. The remix album gives you a taste of just about every aspect of electronic music you could want. As a whole it’s a great new twist on what was already a very solid body of work. As an artist known for his creativity and beautiful lush, layered soundscapes, remixing Petit Biscuit is no simple task, but all the artists do their due diligence.
