Slowthai & A$AP Rocky “MAZZA”

Starting with “feel away” in September (one of our top songs of 2020), Slowthai has now dropped three singles off his upcoming album TYRON.

He released “nhs” in November, and this month, we got “MAZZA” featuring A$AP Rocky. This duo is fire, and we can’t wait to hear the rest of the project. 

TYRON is set to release on February 5. It’s a two-part album with more highly-anticipated features. 

Along with the tracklist, Slowthai shared a heartfelt note that already has us tearing up. 

“Thank you all for supporting me and my music. This album was created during a difficult time in my life, I am far from perfect but I've learnt a lot about myself whilst creating this album and I will continue to grow into a better person for myself and aim to be a reflection of what i’d want to see in this world. I hope this album allows you to accept yourself for who you are and find growth where you need it.”

“MAZZA” is short for the British slang word “mazzaleen,” which Genius UK defines as “something that is mad or a madness.” Slowthai and A$AP drop crazy bars in this single, and the lyrics are actually pretty deep.

The rappers share how they can lose sight of themselves in the chaos of the world, and they reflect on their character individuality on the track. 

Slowthai goes into his drinking and drug usage, and relationships with his girl Katya Kishuk, who is a Russian singer and influencer. A$AP, now a platinum rapper, remembers who he was before all the fame and hype. 

The pair also dropped a trippy music video with the single, capitalizing on both of their creativity and edge.

TYRON is going to be absolute heat.
