High Off Life: Future
(originally posted May 19, 2020)
Future is in a good place right now.
He told XXL, "I want to send a positive message through hard times for me or anyone else. Just always have that saying, "life is good," and you can always reflect back on it. You know, cheer yourself up and put yourself in a better mood." How's that for some GOAT status.
Now, I wouldn't say this album is technically "Quarantine Status" for the single reason that this is not your stay in the room chill and vibe album. The album is a top-down darty SZN dirty rager album that you hate to receive stuck in the Q. There are also no standout hits that break away from all the other songs except maybe "Trillionaire" that hits me on a whole new level. With time the other singles will make top charts, but all the songs complement each other very well.
Songs that need a shoutout:
- Trillionaire
- Harlem Shake
- All Bad
- Posted With Demons
Very impressed with the album as a whole, and Future stays putting out music for the music and not for the numbers.
