Casanova Ultra
The “Region” artist recently released his third album, Casanova Ultra. Appropriately titled and illustrated, this album was anything but “normal.”
Over the last four years, Bryce Bullock, known as Famous Beezy, has spent countless hours trying to find a sound that feels the most like him. He has released albums, EPs, single and features that all offer their own style and feel.
Nearly four years since he began making music at the age of 15, Beezy has found it. In 12 tracks, Casanova Ultra delivers a sound and style that we all were waiting to see.
Breaking down the album:
The first track, “Casanova,” sets the tone for the project. Previously, Famous Beezy had levitated toward more of a trap-based style of production, but for this, he was going for “more of an album feel.” Beezy did just that.
An album is a story. Just like a book, it can be fiction or non-fiction, but nevertheless, the meaning is apparent and the message is clear. This album tells you everything you need to know about Famous Beezy and also what’s to come.
As you transition through the album, you find new sounds and gain a better understanding of Beezy in almost every song. These were some of my favorite tracks that each left me wowed to say the least:
“Love in the Himalayas” has one of the smoothest flows on the whole album. It’s lyrically sound and keeps you hooked from start to finish. This is a perfect song to put on for relaxing in any setting.
“Hotel Lobby” was the biggest surprise track of the album. This incredibly fluent song progresses beautifully into a feature from female vocalist Charisse that will leave you breathless. The two of them flowed as smooth as butter; I hope to see more collaborations from them in the future.
“Hell Storm” served as a reminder that although Beezy proved to be versatile in the style of rap that he can produce, he hasn’t lost a step in his original flow. With a hard beat and an even harder feature from another region rapper, Almighty Fo, this made for another successful feature on the album.
“Lil Puffy” is my personal favorite single that was on this album. Very solid flow that matches perfectly with the beat.
Give Famous Beezy a listen, and let us know what you think.
